Keinginan
suami untuk melawat masjid yang 300 tahun
usianya ketika kami di wilayah Narathiwat, akhirnya tercapai. Menurut suami melalui pembacaannya masjid ini
ada sejarah yang tersendiri dan bukan kerana itu keinginan dia untuk ke situ.
Hasratnya untuk melihat sendiri masjid Talok Manok atau Taloh Manoh yang sudah
lama dibina di Ban Talo Mano daerah Bacho, 25 kilometer
dari bandar kota Narathiwat ini. Itu saja.
Masjid ini
dibina sekitar kurun ke 17-antara 1624 dan1634. Maka masjid ini dibina sewaktu
zaman Kerajaan Pattani. Mungkinkah masjid ini pernah juga sinonim dengan
kerajaan Langkasuka yang hebat dulu? Mungkin ya, mungkin juga tidak kerana
tiada kajian tentang kebarangkalian ini yang saya jumpa dan baca.
Penyatuan dan Assimilasi Budaya
Penyatuan senibina Melayu dan Cina pada rekabentuk masjid Telok Manok ini mengangkat ‘wajah dan rasa’ yang unik pada setiap pasangan mata yang melihat. Lebih menarik lagi, masjid ini tiada paku besi yang digunakan tetapi hanya ‘paku kayu’ yang menjadi ‘penyambung’ dan sendi antara jasad dan tulang masjid bersejarah ini. Adunan rasa senibina Melayu dan Cina memberi identifikasi kepada kita tentang sosio budaya masyarakat setempat khususnya ketika zaman Kerajaan Pattani.
Bukan hanya di situ, pada dinding pemisah antara balai solat dan mihrab juga diukir elok ukiran tembuk timbul motif 'bunga' Cina di situ.
Tatkala itu senyum melata pada wajah dalam hati yang kagum dengan penyatuan budaya yang menjadi keindahan dan keunikkan sejarah masjid Talok Manok ini. Bagaikan ternampak-nampak deretan hamba-hamba Allah berdiri dalam saf yang berbaris sehingga ke pintu sana, berjemaah mengikut imam menyerah diri dalam takwa solat.

pelajar tahfiz di situ dan di sini saya ingin mengucapkan terima kasih dan
semoga ilmu Allah anak-anak di situ pelajari, rahmat dan pahalanya melimpah
kepada kedua ibu bapa mereka , masyarakat setempat dan kepada semua masyarakat
Islam di Wilayah Narathiwat.
